The redirects might not be a bad thing. Can you show us the site? It doesn't sound like it would really be much of an issue, other than being confusing. If you want the new page to work on it's own you need to change the URL of the pages that link to it.

For example, if your home page links to about.html, but the new page is about_us.html, you'll have to change the link on the home page. He redirected every file on the site to a new file. I am new at this and confused. Can anyone tell me how to delete the redirects and have the new pages work on their own? I found one of the meta redirects in the head of one of the old pages and it points to the new page but I don't know what to do next. If I delete the file and just use the new one, I get a page not found error. Help, please!!! Let me know if I need to add any other info.
