Does ATT ever run promos for ISDN

The subject line says it all. Just needing to know if I should hold out for a better deal.

No, actually it was a mandate from the CEO at one point to stop stilling BRIs. However, it didn't happen and they are still sold. In the old BellSouth region you can get a contract on them (the business ones any, that I know about) and save about $7 a month. Not worth it in my opinion.

good luck on calling att and even getting someone who knows what it is , I called a couple months back going to add a second isdn line and bond them together , first person told me that they didnt do isdn anymore ,it wasn't supported , I told her i was very surprised and i informed them my monthly bill still supports it , could I get a refund for the last 5 years of isdn lines??? after 3 days finally placed my order for a seconds line , waited a month then canceled it

its a dying technolgy , if you can get anything else , wireless, dsl cable go for it , satellite I leave alone , nothing but horror stories

They will not do any promo's for isdn.. They don't even want you asking about it.. They are trying to unregulate the pricing of it in TN so they can blast you with high charges thous meaning you'll drop it and they will be in the clear... But we will see how that goes... If everyone was 100 percent covered for dsl/uverse.. I could care less.. But the buildout is always lagging and UNPROFITABLE is always the reason.... I swear.. I wish they'd sell the unprofitable areas to someone that wants to do the job ((yes, they exsist ))..

Get it.. But don't expect support.. Finding isdn TA's (( modems basically )) can be fun too.. Imo, they ended isdn way too soon being they don't plan to convert everyone to dsl... I hate range limited technology advances.. Or there lackoff rather.

Well after starting this thread I have been reluctant to get the ISDN. Really what I need is promo on a T1. I found it for $350 a month but that is still a bit much for residentual use. It would be nice if ATT would have an afordable package available for those who can't get DSL and are willing to pay a bit more than DSL for a good broadband connection. But, instead they choose to push away those customers by offering Wildblue satellite. What a slap in the face that is. You would think they might offer a $200 T1 and keep a paying customer, rather than push them away.

Probably not going to happen, the lowest I've seen a T1 go for is about $350. The LEC charges about $165-$265 just to rent the T1 circuit, then the ISP charges for Internet access over that. Think of it as having to buy a phone line and then buy DSL on it, but the phone line really is required to make it work.
