Why all the probs in BellSouth versus other Regions of ATT ?

I find it very interesting while viewing other regions and the problems complained of... It seems that Bell South (SouthEast Region) has not only a larger volume of topics to be resolved, but I've noticed that the percentage of problems addressing concerns within the 1st 4 layers of the OSI Model are much higher...

If the first 4 layers have nothing to do with the customer, premise or equipment and the last 3 do, doesn't this speak loudly, in fact, of the failed operation of the Southeast??

That is strange isn't it when one considers the first layer being number one involves the DSLAM CPE modem and copper loop none of which have anything to do with "the customer, premise or equipment" per your post. That is strange real strange might even be a conspiracy going on there somewhere. I think you need to research this further as I'll bet you are on to something.

Maybe this has something to do with u-verse being deployed so slowly in the southeast as I have been told its the way Bellsouth did their loops, or they do not have much fiber out there and have to deploy it.

Disregard what you've been told.

This is about as accurate as the rest of your posts have been. Hmmm...let's take a look at the other AT&T region forums and see if we can find any issues. By golly! It seems to me that the SouthEast region has less issues and less problems than any of the other AT&T regions.

And I based that opinion on the same facts that you based yours on...yep, I made it up without even checking.

W4ncr...SouthEast (formerly BellSouth) has always been way ahead of any of the other Bells in terms of fiber deployment, and they still are.

Not in Wilmington NC in fiber deployment.

How about some stats to back that up.

So you're saying there are other RBOCS that have deployed more fiber in Wilmington than BellSouth has? That's a very interesting claim.

But regardless, I wasn't limiting myself to one particular city when I said that. Even if you were correct, which I doubt, the fact is that BellSouth deployed far more fiber in their region than any other Bell did, and that's still the case for AT&T SE.

Last time Bellsouth did any fiber deployment in Wilmington was in 2004, going to RT Boxes or DSLAMS and busineses who need fiber connections, and Timewarner just last year just installed more fiber to their additonal fiber in my neighborhood.
But their packages are the same as AT&T IN REFERENCE TO THEIR UPSTREAM.
And Timewarner still has no backup in place.
I have no interest in U-VERSE.
Unless like Verizon Fios they can offer 20 mbps down and 20 mbps upstream, then you have my interest.

How do you know what Time Warner and BellSouth installed in Wilmington? I don't even know of all the fiber installed in my city and I watch it realllllly closely.

Thats exactly what I do is watch very closely plus have connections inside Bellsouth as well as know a corporate person locally in Time warner.

@bellsouth.net
Could it be you are watching the wrong company? Bellsouth is AT&T now. Last time I heard they had over a million served by fiber.

Not in Wilmington N.C.
Most of AT&T CUSTOMERS in Wilmington are served by copper, unless you are a large corporation THAT NEEDS A FIBER CONNECTION.
Definitely do not have the wrong company , its AT&T FORMERLY--BELLSOUTH---

Gflash

@bellsouth.net

You should be able to get a fiber link to your business by asking AT&T for a megalink service. They will put you in contact with the engineers to lay it out and give you an estimate.I know they are willing to build whatever is needed as long as all associated costs are paid. If you have any trouble getting to them post here.
