Re: [Unlock] Need a Vtech 8100 Unlock Tutorial

Another thing to remember - don't let it connect to the internet. The newest firmware won't work with CYT. If you have the newest version (.09) then you will have to use a serial cable to downgrade the firmware to .08 or .07 and then CYT will work on it.

Read the D-link VTA unlock guide in the forum. The procedures is same as Vtech 8100. The main difference is vtech 8100 has only 1 line.

Ok i have read all the info i can find on the Vtech 8100.

I am kinda sure of the procedure, but need some help filling in the gaps.

1) Download CYT 4.6
2) Login to Vtech Admin Interface with Firefox - HOW?, I can get the IP but i do NOT know the Admin U/P
3) Run cmd... "CYT46.exe VTECH"
4) Option 1 - but i need the admin pass

NOW here is where I really do not know what do...
5-Something about getting the configs from Vonage?
6-Decrypt, Change, Post to TFTP, Tell VT to go there - HOW TO DO ANY OF THIS??
-I have a running Trixbox server, so Id like to use its TFTP server to host configs
-????

So basically I need:
-Admin User/Pass
-How to get Vonage Configs
-What to do with them
-Etc

Thanks!
