The 8800 GTS cards consume at most 130W each. When you SLI them, power consumption doesn't actually double because SLI isn't 100% efficient. But even if we assume it does, and your processor consumes about 100W, you're still well within the 580W limit (on the 12V rail) for your PSU. | |

1 edit | I would buy this just in case. You have to take in account that 8800 gts graphics card requires 26 amps per card now if your gonna run 2 that will double. This corsair psu has has 60 amps/single rail so it should work.

whats your computer specs by the way? because if you have a quadcore, alot hard drives, a couple of dvd drives etc etc - it adds up. You might need an 800 watt psu.

I'm just wondering because although its combined amperage rating is 72 (18 amps per 12V rail), all of its PCIe connectors are on one of the +12V 18amp rails. The card mentioned requires 26 I think, which the PSU can achieve if the amps combine. I'm really confused here.
