The nosy employees likely didn't violate the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, given they didn't access stored communications, voicemails, emails or instant messages.
How do we know they didn't.
More then likely because they worked in the wireline side of the business,(plain old telephone service) and dont have access to voicemails, emails, or instant messages.
