I think it's a great idea if it can bring affordable broadband to those that can't get it now. If it offers low latency, respectable speeds, and solid security it might be just the thing we need.

Is $60 a month for a 5 GB cap a great deal? Hardly. Not to mention overage charges in the $250-$500 per GB range

We really have no idea what kind of caps might be imposed on a future service that is years away from being widely implemented. Nor do we know anything at all about any overage charges or how the service will be packaged and sold. IF you read my comment, it was clear that I was merely speculating on the potential.
