I know you don't block anything, is there a way that they may be blocking access form teksavvy IP's?

Or is it Bell in any way?

Can anyone else on teksavvy access the site? (it is NWS so heads up).

Just tried it from our office connection (over LAN connection however), but it's over our IPs... Thinking it might be your firewall or system security as a hunch.

Ok, thanks for checking, I'll have to sort it out out tonight. I was able to access it in the past, no changes to my firewall were made.

thx again.

Hmm.. I am watching several videos from redtube.com right now, from the office. Seems to work great, especially since we have a 100Mbps link!

Errr No sorry, I am not watching. I am working very hard and concentrating on support mail and DSLreports, and quality assurance. Seriously. I am not watching pr0n from the office. ALTF4 ALTF4

Well it was mandatory porn watching since a TSi client had issues accessing the sits. Therefore you had no choice but to do some tek support work and investigate this very important matter.

You were just doing your job You're welcome guys :P

Having worked for an unnamed pr0n company recently, try looking at your windows hosts file. Many spyware/AV etc type programs null route a bunch of hosts that way.

Hosts file? Where/ what is that? What am I looking for?

I checked again at home and I can't access that site, so it's something on my end for sure.

Windows: %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Linux and Unix derivatives: /etc/hosts

edit: "What am I looking for?", typically it should not have anything there other than one line like
127.0.0.1 localhost

Thanks.

I didn't have time last night to have a look, I was out all night. I'll have a look over the weekend and post the results.

Another dumb question that shows my truel lack of computer skills.... where/ how do I find the %windir% directory? Is it the same if i use firefox?

Almost always it's c:\windows. You can just paste what I posted into Start-->Run.

When its not C:\Windows, then its C:\WINNT

UNLESS you manually changed it when Windows was installed.

You want just the one named "hosts", with no extension or any other suffix.
