Loop Length Limits

Have been on the 1.5 Tier for a couple of years. Just wondering if anyone is aware of FairPoints policy on loops lengths and the 3.0 package. Have these loop lengths been upgraded ? Thanks.

They seem to be more flexible about distance then Verizon.

I'm about 12,600 ft from CO. That is beyond the 3000/768 cutoff for both Verizon and FairPoint. Was never able to get Verizon to increase speed. This July called FairPoint and rep said I was too far but system allowed him to increase speed. Been at 3000/768 ever since. Been just as stable as the 1500/384 service.

Depending on how far out of range you are and condition of circuit you may be able to get them to bump it up.

I live in gwi.net's dsl service area, so I called GWI and their sales rep did a line check and said I was qualified for 3.0. Now I have to call Fairpoint and see if they will verify.
