Re: Essential Plus

Well that is good news for my relative if that is what your process people are saying. I guess if they removed the AL1 profile awhile back (Lantern) they are allowing the higher speed instead of taking it down to 1796 for a non interleave profile...makes sense and I don't think anyone will mind. I stand corrected and thanks for the update.

From the paper I just checked it should be no more than 2496/800 and one of my relatives was placed on that profile his line can handle 11 meg so you may want to recheck your sources...I am looking at the DSLSK usoc/speed page.
Glen that info comes from our process people.

DSLSK - PSQT SYNC RATE QUALIFICATION RANGE IS BETWEEN 2400 AND 2999

Official speed for DSLSK is listed as al1_d2496-2496-256_u800-800-256

I have not seen that profile for quite a while in Lantern, but I have seen al2_d2496-2496-256_u640-640-256.

Since the PSQT rate is up to 2999, al1_d3008-3008-256_u800-800-256 is now the default profile for Essential Plus as long as the copper line is capable of handling that speed.

So, the answer to the question appears to be 3008/800 fast path. Is this Correct?

I still don't think it has been stated here with certainty by someone in the know - what profile is used on Essential Plus on a line which has no issues?
3008/800 fast path
if your line can't handle it, then you get,
2496/640 interleave maintenance profile
if your line can't handle it, then you get,
lower profiles as found in the FAQ in this forum
been stated is correct. Default is 3m al1. Minimum is 672k.

All depends on what line can handle
