BK3 : If you made a disc image, then the software may be (probably is) looking to burn it to the same size and type of media that the image originally came from. In other words, if the image was made from a single layer, 4.7 GB disc then the software will try to make an identical disc that the image originally came from. If you try to burn it to a different type of media, (IE, a DL blank) you may get an error that says "wrong media type" or something similar to that.
--
Atomic batteries to power - Turbines to speed - ready to move out.

in8won : I am using sonic by roxio. I burned a disc image to my hard drive then placed the dvd+r dl disc in my drive. The disc appears in my computer list of drives and I can open the folder. When I try to burn to disc it tells me the disc is not good or wrong format. I even tried using vistas built in software and just place a few files on a disc as a test.. still wont let me write to disc. The drive on my computer says its a dvd+rw dl. Not sure what is wrong.
--
Chiropractors have always said no to drugs!
