Warner Robins, GA | BitTorrent throttling... I keep reading that Cox throttles BitTorrent traffic, but have seen no signs of that. Could someone post up what behavior to look for specifically? I'm using BitTorrent 6.1.2 and have set the port up to around 37000. When I set my download/upload limits to unlimited, my 15/1mbit connection maxes out. I've been hosting MAME LD CHDs for several friends and they said they have had no trouble getting them from me. |

Most of the thread was taken up by someone who was disconnected based on a complaint about copyright infringement.

kudos:5 | From the questions I've asked around the industry, I believe that Cox has stopped, replacing their "reasonable network management" with --- ummm --- apparently nothing at all.
I'd love to have official, or even unofficial, confirmation.

You can use this tool to test for yourself: »broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparen···test.php
Since both ends of the connection are controlled, any TCP RST that were not sent by the remote end but received by yourself were sent courtesy of your ISP.
