Well are you going to get a naked DSL line from Qwest? That most likely is more expensive than a phone line with DSL. Since you want a stripped down DSL the lowest speed Silver which is 1.5mgbt down and 760 up it will cost you about $35 a month with no bundle or contract. Just check their website.

As for a modem get an Actiontec gt701WG or gt704WG off ebay for cheap. Their firmware can be flashed for mac ompatibility.
