@direcpc.com | reply to Juggy How do I do this? You can (1) attach a single computer to the modem and assign the IP to the network adapter on the computer |

| Here find how to configure the computer network adapter. In the Internet Protocol window: »ask-leo.com/how_do_i_configure_m···ess.html
IP address = your static IP address PLUS 1 Gateway = your static IP SubnetMask = 255.255.255.252
Prefered DNS Server = 66.82.4.8
Aletrnate DNS Server = 66.82.4.12
These DNS Servers are the hughes defaults, but you can use others if you like. -- dw7000/.98m/2watt/Horizon1/1390/256k4/5 /xp sp2/desktop compaq 6330CA/linksys wireless/thinkpad xp pro/Toughbook CF-28 xp pro |

| reply to Juggy I Guess the biggest question here is how do you want to use this service? If your running a webserver than you want to point that traffic to your static IP, but a word of caution here. You should invest in a firewall of some sort to protect your system(s). If your planning on sending email from this good luck. I've been arguing with HughesNet for months about allocating a correct RDNS for the static IP I have to no avail. Actually canceled their service this week. Heck I'd rather deal with dial up slowness then the customer support slowness.. lol
