Treat the service like wifi at coffee shops. Charge $5 or $10 for 24 hrs of access. I would go for that more than I would a 2 year contract. Not to mention, they would make even more money than $60 a month would...

 | Wimax chips will be put with the Intel Centrino 2 processors and there will be a 24 hour day passes and no contract service plans available. I expect all the 3G notebook bundles to come rolling out more and more everyday. We might also see carriers start subsidizing equipment cost in exchange for 2 year contracts. See what competition brings |

See what competition brings That's all well and good but. I'm already paying out the nose for home service. Anything north of 20 a month is a no go in this economy for the benefit of using my netbook or notebook in open location. I could see taking a netbook to a cafe and doing email ect. But at 60+ with data caps no thanks. Until they get it though their heads all the wireless companies will be missing the real boat. |
