Re: [modem/router] Westell 327W incorrect address issues.

Well the desktop appears to be in the DMZ already, meaning all ports are already forwarded to that computer, so additional port forwarding cannot and doesn't need to be done. But the public IP should not be passed through like that.

I would reset that 327, it's confused now - with the power on depress and hold the hidden reset button for 10 to 15 seconds.
Be sure of your Primary Verizon username and password, (same as the primary email), and if you've modified them, the wireless SSID and security key in use before resetting. If they've not been modified the default SSID and WEP key should be printed on a sticker on the bottom of the 327.

Wait a minute, then, (assuming Win XP here) go into the Network Connections (on the PC), right click the Local Area Connection and choose repair - (flushes the ARP and DNS caches, rebuilds TCP and renews the LAN IP). If not XP, reboot the PC. Temporarily turn off any firewalls and disable any pop-up blockers.

Now try to browse - the "walled garden" will pop up asking for your phone number and zip code. Input that and when you get to the what do want to do screen, choose "because I reset my modem" and continue. When asked for your username and password input the Primary username (without the @verizon.net) and corresponding password. The software will set up the pppoe connection in the modem for you.

You could optionally disable the "walled garden" and set up the modem manually if you want - will provide step by step for that if you like.

When that's done, confirm that you can browse successfully, then try running the PFConfig software.

reboot, reset, reconfigure, then recycle.
