But they have a work around to by-pass the throttle.
These Bell-wholesale companies may be forced to remove their throttle work-around, or their work-around may get throttled in the future.
TekSavvy Solutions Inc. Locations: Ontario and Quebec Standard ADSL which supports MLPPP for bonding two or more DSL lines together. The MLPPP support by-passes the throttle on either mutli-bonded lines and regular single DSL lines.
Acanac Inc. Locations: Ontario and Quebec Standard ADSL. They have an VPS/SSH by-pass for the throttle.
Velcom Locations: Ontario Standard ADSL. Supports MLPPP to by-pass the throttle.

Thanks for everyones involvement and for keeping your experiences, price and other garbage out of it. People can call the above ISP's or make another topic on these issues to ask the specifics. Please don't hijack this topic with experiences, good or bad. Another topic can be created for this purpose.
It should be noted that many companies on the above list who have their own equipment in place also offer triple or double play bundle savings on TV, Phone and Internet.
Please feel free to add to the list or point out corrections that need to be made.
Everyones help making this list is very much appreciated. I hope I got all your contributions and required fixes in the list.
Thanks!
-Are there no other Quebec ISP's that don't throttle? Quebec seems to be lagging far behind Ontario. | |  | Hello;
Wightman in Stratford is Throttling.
I'm not sure how long it's been going on, but it's being done.
During Throttle time its approx 35kB/s. Full speed begins about 1 or 1:30 am, until ?? morning ??.
Line Info: Business line with static IPs.
(Yes, i have Rogers at home) | | GuspazGuspazPremium,MVM join:2001-11-05 Montreal, QC kudos:16 | They almost certainly don't throttle themselves, but are throttled by Bell. | | | That is something i was wondering too... although they have their own equipment, I didn't think that their connection was provided by Bell, but from Ontario Hydro Telecom. (i wonder this because i've had DHCP Address leased from them from time to time on Wightman DSL)
But I suppose if Bell is in the link anywhere, they have the potential to throttle it. | | | ok let me get this straight...
wightman is putting in FTHH and its throttled? Is this correct?
If a company is putting FTTH in, they for sure would have their own Dslams.
Doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe in some area's where they don't have FTTH they are riding on Bell equipement.
So is their FTHH throttled? Is this for sure? | | pstewartPremium,VIP join:2005-10-12 Peterborough, ON kudos:1 | reply to nowthrottling said by nowthrottling :
