[VA] Lightfoot: Connection drop outs between 3am and 8am.

It seems randomly Our 15mb service will drop for no reason. meaning all the lights on the modem cut off except the top one as it searches for a new signal. It doesn't do this during the day.
I've dealt with Cox enough to know that if I call them they will deny all and place all issues to be on my end.
Might there be something that can be done or is it currently being worked on.
I can't imagine that a network would be having issues and no one know about it.

If you could PM me the cable modem's MAC address I'll look into this for you.

Your downstream power level is quite low (and perhaps might be going even lower from time to time). Make sure there is no more than one splitter between where the cable enters the house and the cable modem's input, verify that all connections are tight and check for bad cables and splitters. If the level remains low, a tech will need to come out.

I've read from many other forums/post that the rang is good from -12 to +12. And I've monitored this through the day with even more traffic through the router and it stays connected @ -12

-12 is the absolute bottom of where you want it, Any lower than that and the modem starts becoming intermittent and unreliable...

Also signal levels will fluctuate due to cold/heat... so you want a little buffer for the signal fluctuation....
