All the bit in your car should need to do is hold your account number. Or even just hold its own serial number, which is tied to an account number somewhere later on. Unless there's a button on the Sunpass itself, what possible reason would there be to hold any data on it?
Makes no sense.. And i'm not saying you make no sense, just the system in general.
