Re: OMB slaps down FCC "power backup for cell tower" rules I didn't say it required 8 hours of Battery backup. Just backup. To me that suggests more that it would require a Generator with at least 8 hours of fuel.
That would be a pretty expensive proposition for every cell tower, however.
