| Adding Comcast Phone to Existing Cable/Internet Service
Hello all,
Are these signal strengths adequate to support voice service?
Internet Service Level (3 splits from main feed): Signal to Noise Ratio: 39db Power Level (downstream): -1dBmv Power Level (upstream): 53dBmv
Cable TV Service Level (1 split from main feed): Signal to Noise Ratio: 24db Power Level (upstream modem): 51dBmv MAC Power Level?: 52dBmv
If so, can I use either?
Thanks,

| CC phone is not VoIP, and if you signal is crap, yes you can have problems keeping the eMTA stable. Otherwise, your signals are fine at this point. Only way to find out, is to schedule a tech call to come out and check connections and splitters when you want to hook up with CC Digital phone. |

1 edit | said by Greg_Z :CC phone is not VoIP, Assuming that he is referring to their CDV service, sure it is. It uses that protocol.
The old Comcast Digital Phone service has been all but phased out. |

24dB SNR is way out of spec.. |
