Gunning for good PR

Wasn't there an article or two floating around about the equipment vendors providing equipment capable of both LTE and wimax? If thats true then Clearwire is just taking advantage of the situation by claiming they have "future proof" facilities in place.

LTE and Wimax are so close in protocols to each other that if one fails it would be very easy to just use the other. The only thing that will have to be replaced are the radios and the controller cards. I think the one that dominates the market will be the carrier with the most amount of spectrum available.
