[Poll] Do you use anti-malware software on your Mac?

With regard to this thread »Apple encourages use of antivirus utilities
I wonder if anyone is using anti-malware (anti-virus, etc.) software on their Macs.

Poll
Do you use any anti-malware software on your Mac?

(I was considering "Yes, OS X" as a choice, but decided to keep the poll somewhat serious)

Re: [Poll] Do you use anti-malware software on your Mac?

Yes (NAV11), only because I handle Windows attachments back and forth with customers in my business. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. And of course I run AV in Boot Camp and in my Windows VMs (NOD32).

Nada.
I've thought about it. But reading things here, as well as finding other tid bits about this topic, I've decided to hold off installing anything..... for now.

Not on my home Macs. At work I run ClamX AV, for the same reason that I exchange files via email as well with Windows users.

I don't run any real time/resident scanning, but I do use and scan with Clam 2-3 times a week on my 2 macs

If Avast had a free "home" version like they have for windows(which I use on all my windows boxen), and more stable on a mac, I would run it without a doubt. Unfortunately, it's just not "quite there" yet. Maybe after more time......

I tried Avast's 60-day free trial of their Mac version, and removed it after about 3 days. It kept crashing and seemed to slow things down just a bit. I certainly wouldn't pay the $30 (or $40, or whatever it costs) for it...at least not until they get it working better.

On my Corporate Macbook Pro, I do have eTrust Threat Management installed required by my employer.

In my Mac min and personal Macbook, I have ClamAV installed. But no anti-malware.

I have McAfee installed on my Windows partition at work. On the Mac side, no.

No.

Because I don't download from sites I don't trust. Second, I don't browse sites that I don't trust either.

As for right now. No. I just got my iMac about 3 or 4 months ago. After being a life-long Windows user (Spending most of my time fixing it...) I'd like to take a break from all that stuff as long as I can.

Though after reading this article and hearing from a few other places that a big hit virus on the iMac is imminent, I think I'll reconsider in a little while. Especially if there actually is an outbreak somewheres on the interweb.

With the exception of my Windows VMs, no, I don't.

Been using UNIX systems since the late 80s. Many things have been problems, security-wise, but viruses have never been one of them. Then again, I've never made a habit of running around logged in as root.

I use it on my Window's VM, but not on OS X. I tried Intego's Virus barrier, but removed it.

I use the same combo. So my answer would be, no.

Re: [Poll] Do you use anti-malware software on your Mac?

I am trying the free PC Tools iAntiVirus; haven't seen any problems so far, but it has only been one day.
