I guess it depends on you want. Verizon does not have the coolest phones, and does tend to charge a lot of add-on fees.

On the other hand, you can reliably make phone calls.

Word. I was in Mexico (Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta) and made calls from my phone without a hiccup.

And that is the metric MOST of the customers care about. Can they connect anywhere they are? Will it stay connected while moving in a car? Voice quality, etc. Almost everything else is of much lower importance for the vast majority of users.

Verizon doesn't have service there. You were roaming.
