<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/340409"><b>funchords</b></A> : I was down for 6 hours today -- I kept getting DHCP assigned the IP 71.111.130.1 with a gateway of 71.111.130.1 -- so naturally I wasn't getting anywhere.  <br><br>Five -- FIVE!! -- failed telephone calls to repair, dropped here or there -- I was red faced SCREAMING at the damned phone tree in frustration by the fifth call.  Pulled my modem out of bridge mode (where I put it 5 months ago in some Rube-Goldbergian sequence that only Simon could remember).  No better.<br><br>Suddenly things started to work again.
