Candoo3 : Never even thought of moth larvae. Make sure you check EVERYTHING. I had the same problem about 4 yrs ago after thinking about it. They were in cereal boxes even tho they were closed good. What blew my mind is that they were in things that weren't even open yet, and in sealed bags inside the boxes. Those were boxes (all 12) of Jiffy corn muffin mix and a new sealed bag of Quaker Oats. The Jiffy mix was about 6 months old, and I am half convinced the larvae may have been there right from the plant.

DMWCincy : I'll have to go with moths also. Look to see if you have some type of nut laying around(behind a counter or fridge or some shelf up high). We own birds and the seed we buy have eggs all the time. You can't get away from it. Only way we found to kill off the eggs was to freeze the seed until we give it to the birds. If it is moths, they do have traps that work well for them. Took us about a month to get rid of them once we found and removed the source of food for them.

Good luck

Maggots on the kitchen ceiling So Gross. Need Help!!

anon : So I live in what I would consider a clean house until I looked up one day and found a few maggots crawling on the ceiling in the kitchen. I wiped them down and threw them out but they keep coming back. Looks to be about 1-2 a day for almost 2 weeks now. They seem to be coming from the same general area. An outside wall lined with cabinets with a .75" or so gap where a piece of trim is missing. There used to be a vent there before we redid the kitchen. It was sealed up with insulation and duct tape on the outside. I took a look up there and couldn't see anything on the inside. I also pulled out the duct tape and insulation from the outside and didn't see any maggot farms.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of these gross creatures? Please help.
