Consider this test "quick and dirty" -- but basically you shouldn't do this while you're backing up the hard drive, sharing your private Microsoft Money files over any P2P networks, or streaming video across the network.
1. Install Extended Statusbar in Firefox
2. Load a www.dslreports.com (or whatever one site that you want), reload it with Shift-Ctrl-R
3. Reload with Shift-Ctrl-R and record result
4. Repeat step 3 a few more times
