i never ever ever rely on wireless PERIOD!
the point of having a laptop is so you can be portable.
wireless you have lots of plp and breakup. i can never do anything reliably on a wifi connection vs a hard connection.
and, i hope you don't do things like bank or download huge files on the wifi too (doesn't matter if it's open or locked)
also, cox hsi has been solid here. no reason to switch to (gulp) embarq who almost got purchased by frontier.
NO home service is perfect, and with caps and pay per byte being the norm soon, the internet will soon cease to exist.

Laguna Hills, CA | I rarely if ever have issues with wireless. I routinely hammer my giganews services with my laptop download 20+GB at a pop. With 802.11n I have no trouble maxing my powerboosted connection in the mid 30Mb range. |
