Re: AOL Loss = RoadRunner gains?

I'm sure they lie about their numbers. They count customers as cds sent to people. I figure they are running out of money as people are switching to cable and not paying their overpriced dial-up service, so you see the massive drop of "Customers" as cds not sent out.

That happened to a relative of mine. It took months of fighting with AOL until they stopped billing, at which time they had gotten Cable Internet.

I wonder if the AOL losses are providing gains for Road Runner?
Considering the only subscribers who use AOhell are the elderly and/or clueless and/or hillbillies out in the sticks, I'd say the piddling 7% drop was probably due to mortality rates. Of course, upon the death of Uncle Albert, AOhell will continue to bill his account no matter how many times the family attempts to stop service.
