Worse yet, the SBC files are quite often long out of date. If you have just ONE of the parameters off (when checking for signal strength), you'll get some red number below 30. <br><br>Even the Tier I call center doesn't get the updated parameters in a timely fashion, as I've had to correct them more than once. Sometimes Tier II in Florida has more current parameters, but I've caught them out in the past as well. <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/521177"><b>teledatatech</b></A> : Thanks;<br>I cycled thru the other transponders, and the signal strength <br>on them are about the same at ~15.<br>The config file in the modem shows 990 and 1070 DVB-S and 1410 DVB-S2.<br>I manually entered 1370 and signal there is at ~15 also.<br>990 continues good at 70.<br>Hughes may recommission to a different satellite anyway, but Since the dish is already pointed at G17 I thought<br>I would test it there.<br>I did find a Hughesnet transponder listing as of 8/15/08, but it doesn't show which transponders are DVB-S or DVB-S2<br><small>--<br>Hughesnet DW7000 G17/990</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/521177"><b>teledatatech</b></A> : Hello all;<br>I have been in contact with Hughes in re-establishing service with my old 7000 modem.<br>I connected the modem back up and wanted to check the signal levels.<br>Transponder 990 locked in with a signal of 71.<br>when I try to do a manual ACP it shows I am in cue.<br>I tried it again and the cue status increased and has continuously increased from 40 to over 60.<br>A automatic ACP completes with ACP at 68.<br>Is the manual cue status a Hughes issue or mine?<br>Also is 990 the only DVB-S transponder available on G17?<br>as it is the only transponder I can lock on to.<br>Will the DW7000 lock onto a DVB-S2-ACM carrier?<br>Thanks<br><small>--<br>Hughesnet DW7000 G17/990</small>]]></description>
