Wow 69 HD channels. I feel like I'm living the mid 90's all over again. Like when we went from 62 analog channels to 80 analog channels.

69 HD's that's like as many SD analogs there are in a traditional cable system, wow.

Dump that much analog, and you free up a lot of space for this sort of thing.

Notice they also have the GAME HD channels for the PPV Sports Packages...As well as the IND PPV Events Channel...

Does Boston or Chicago even have these?

all i want for christmas is so more new channels but i guess i can be happy that i got fx, fox news and speed hd this week.

Any additions for the simple basic cable subscribers (Corvallis)? Currently with basic cable I get 5 HD channels, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and OPB.

My post wasn't really clear. I currently have only basic cable (simple coaxial cable to my plasma). Not digital or expanded. So I have HD channels such as 9.1 for ABC, 16.1 for NBC and so on. I don't have channels in the 700 range. So any additions there?

you might find 716 via qam when it becomes available also you might want to do a channel scan and see if there has been any new channels that you can see because comcast has been doing some switching of Carrier channels

Will they continue to pack 3 channels/carrier or will some be dropped back to 2?

Re run your autotune function. Basically though you only will get the ota. Abc, Cbs, Nbc, Opb, Opb create, Nbc weather plus, CW(used to be wb),fox (kptv), kpdx, and the oregon channel. Also there is even espn radio which is coming through. Oh yeah all of these arent necesarily in hd but are the digital ota channels already broadcasting in the west portland beaverton area. I have also even seen tvs pick up other customers on demand choices. Becareful though aome of the channels your tv will pick up will be double broadcasts.

this came as a message this morning that "Travel channel HD will be added on ch 765 in the Digital Starter HD Package on the 2/25/09" or sometime after each areas transition

the dates for the transition should be as of 12/27/08

It reads like if you are only an Expanded basic customer, you get a free full STB and 2 free DTA? That's not fair to the rest of the customers.

I'd bet the CSRs would give them out to digital customers as well...
