| T.D. Mischke of KSTP has been fired.
I doubt a whole lot of people here listened to this guy, but I can honestly say he was my favorite entertainer of all time. He's been at AM1500 KSTP in St.Paul MN for 16 years, and he's been fired out of the blue today:

As far as I know, it wasn't for some on-air comment or something stupid like that, and if you ask me, the quality of his show has gotten better and better in the last three years.
As dumb as it sounds, I'm really saddened by this. I've listened to him almost daily for the past five years. -- SBKRadio | dslr tools

| Well, I have to think a bit, my memory fades, but I think I quit listening to KSTP around 1979 or 1980. So I probably listened from 1975 to 1980 or so. So I doubt I ever would have heard those guys. I do remember hearing about some controversial woman, was it Barbara Carlson? Arne's wife or was it ex-wife? Man, I am getting old.
Seems to me KQRS FM boosted their signal to 100,000 watts and I invested in a used FM converter for the car radio around 1980-1981. Occasionally I drove the "other" car and would listen to WLS from Chicago at night. Are there still clear channel AM stations?
Are you listening online from Lincoln? Or OTA? -- USNG: 16TDN2870 Find your Lat-Long: Geocoder |

I'm in one of three cities in NE at any time. I can pick up KSTP when I'm in the northern part of the state, but usually I listen online. They started a podcast a couple years ago so I use that now (not anymore, sadly). -- SBKRadio | dslr tools
