New Account wrongly assigned with someone else's phone#
TBSupport, I need your help.
I referred a friend of mine two days ago. They got the box today (fast) and hooked it up. It works nicely. The only problem (major) is that the phone # they got assigned (240-314-XXXX) belongs to someone else.
When I called that #, someone else answered. When they made a call to me, the caller ID was showing other person's name.
Since customer support is not available over weekend, I'm posting this and hoping you'd be able to help.
I've asked a friend of mine to open a ticket too. But not sure if he will be able to sign in since that # may be used by some other teleblend user.

We'll need to get your friend to open that ticket so we can take a look at everything. Sometimes we get numbers from our carriers that are already assigned, so we'll look into it.

Thanks for the reply. Friend of mine just contacted customer service and was told that a new number will be given out. But we don't know how long it is going to take for your engineering department (what your rep referred to) to issue a new number.
Also, according to their conversation, the rep. said the number was from an account (teleblend account/user) that was closed 6 months ago. And, the rep. has no idea why it is still being used. I'm hoping that teleblemd did not provide that number and line of service for free. You may want to check.
I may need your help again if we don't get a new number in next few days. Thanks.

I have seen this with other VOIP's like MagicJack so TeleBlend is not alone. I just wish they would confirm the number is out of service before assigning it.

This is the ticket #: 309270. Can you take a look and push to get a new number issued? We called in and the rep. did not offer much help other than saying your system shows we need a new number. (same as stated in the trouble ticket).
