| a little more generous.. please-- I said please I think they should tweak that idea a little bit... Make the cap throttle to 10mbit and 50gb data, then make it gradually slow down as you ease towards 50gb (in the early 40gb range..), then it resets after 9pm. It would affect much fewer customers and they won't get annoyed with you then. However, US carriers-- listen up.. don't try that crap here, especially if Verizon has FTTP service.. becuase they don't throttle. |

At least for now, Verizon FiOS doesnt do that - but with talking to tech support, they noted 500GB soft cap that would raise some eyebrows.
From what the guy told me, if I use over 500GB/mo and they get reports of slowdowns in my area they will send me a letter to cut back. If I don;t cut back within the next month, they reserve the right to take action. Whatever that means. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My Web Page Ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' MacTire join:2007-06-22 Morristown, TN | It means because the way the contract was drawn up they cannot drop your bandwidth. Instead they will drop your contract and not charge you the normal end service fee. Both Verizon and AT&T are doing this. |
