Back on topic. I can understand prime time throttling more than flat monthly caps. In a lot of neighborhoods, Cable and DSL (especially cable) have proven that their infrastructure isn't able to handle everyone online in the evening hours.
Flat monthly caps and paying overages = money grab Nightly caps during prime time with reasonable throttling = poor infrastructure but reasonable compromise |

 Lazlow join:2006-08-07 Saint Louis, MO | I agree that throttling during prime time is a much better solution than a monthly cap, as long as they are open about it. A monthly cap does not really address the congestion issue as an individual can stay within the cap and do all his downloading during prime time, causing massive congestion. On the other hand, a person can download double the cap during off hours without causing any congestion. |
