| A Couple Things I recently moved to the UK from the US, and I have Virgin Media. I can speak to a couple things mentioned in the comments.
First, the caps between peak hours go away after the period is over. I was downloading some linux ISOs during peak hours and I went from 1 MB/sec to like 200kb/sec or so once I passed the threshold. After 9, my speeds went back up to normal.
Second, the quote in the article about the price being 52 GBP equal to 100 USD is crap. The exchange rate hasn't been 2:1 in months. The price is more like 75 USD now. |
