I paid $99 for my 3G card. $260 for my netbook after rebates. So people are getting a modem + netbook for $99 is a steal.

Why am I not surprised that none of you guys realize that
you can add your own SIM reader and then if you get a
second line added to your plan w/ $20 unlimited smartphone service you got the
same service. to get a $20 smartphone data plan, you would need the IMEI of a smartphone. the billing system only allows compatible plans to their devices, so if your IMEI is for a blackberry, it will only allow a user to add a blackberry data package to it. in order for you to take advantage of this deal, you would be activating it with the IMEI of the integrated data card, thus the billing system would only allow the compatible data plan.
