If you have the MSN version of the Arescom, then the NetDSL Manager is not much help. But the MSN version should already have the correct VPI and VCI. And I was able to call Qwest tech support and get the tech to put in the correct login and password. Which should be all that is needed to get the MSN modem to work with Qwest. |

| reply to pdxfile For what it's worth, I have an Arescom modem working on Qwest DSL. There's a program called "NetDSL Manager" floating around on the internets, which allows you to connect directly to your modem and adjust the VPI and VCI settings, which is what I did when I switched from Earthlink to ISOMEDIA (which uses Qwest DSL lines).
I've since switched over to Qwest DSL and am still using the same old Arescom NetDSL modem with no problems whatsoever (hell, it works even better than the Motorola 3347 modem I got from Qwest, which drops the connection all the time.) |
