I must agree that the speeds are outstanding. I've got the 10mbps package with turbo - below are common speed test results not matter the time of day.

Just upgraded to Turbo w/ PowerBoost yesterday. These are results from a modem that's not even compatible with PowerBoost technology (Toshiba PCX2600)!

Things appear to be smoothing out, i.e, getting more consistent during peak hours--just in time for tomorrow's download:

here is todays speed for me, wish we had more upload down here though. Can't really complain too much, back when I first signed up with roadrunner here it was 2 mbits down and about 356 kbps up. I am provisioned at 10/1.

Are you saying that I can get these speeds with my dialup?

If anyone wants to test this for themselves, after downloading the Windows 7 Beta (which I'm currently using now, it's fricking fast) my ping times have been cut in half.

Youve probably had something constantly running in the back (process) on your previous version of Windows. My ping times are exact on xp vista or win 7.

"I'm wondering if I can believe these speed tests".

The real simple answer is NO!

It really amazes me at the stupidity of people posting up these speed tests.

BTW this was posted during a 283.9 KB/s header download from BH's newshosting server... a little slow to say tonight. Will try GigaNews later.

Wow. How do you get 10 ms ping to a server 100 miles away. I get 8 ms ping just to my cmts.

Perhaps you're right, a more accurate test would be to do a speed test off a fresh install of XP, since that's basically what I did with Windows 7.

I've done a 12ms ping to a Quake 3 server just outside of NYC in 5 hops from Southern NH which has to be over 200 miles and that was 8 years ago.
