Re: [LA] Slow in Baton Rouge 70810

9:00 in the morning. This is what i wish I was getting all day. I would take half this in the evenings.

crazy fast! I might as well drop everything except basic and just download all of our shows (in the a.m. when it's actually usable). Apparently that's what everyone else in my neighborhood is doing.

Hmmm....what's wrong with this picture? Guess I'll start up my downloads and my FTP uploads to my webserver to join the gang on the node.

I can tell you for sure we don't have a node split. Looking at the downstream channel on TSReader right now. 100% utilization and holding steady at 100%...wow...not even dipping to 99%. You'd think Cox would have an alert showing up somewhere with a node maxxing at 100 all the time. I guess not.

Yeah, I've been seeing pings skyrocket at night for the last few week now in addition to the slower speeds. I'm waiting for that lovely node split that *should* fix all of this but I'm not sure when that's going to happen.

Sluggish here...not transferring anything on the network either.

Can't wait for the increase to 12 megabits and extra 2 -3 dollars we are going to pay for HSI alone. Like we will ever see the 12.

Still pathetic as usual here.

In the IM I received, it was hoped that the 17 node splits would give some benefit even though they didn't go all the way to my area. It did help some, but it's not even close to the "night and day difference". Some nights are better than others, but I still regularly observe lousy downstream speeds for hours on end.

My area hasn't been as bad lately, but I don't see it being a node split as it hasn't been night and day difference.

It's been stated previously that some nodes have been split and others haven't. So some should be seeing an improvement but others are still out of luck. My problems began only a few months ago and unfortunately I'm still seeing slow speeds during peak hours. So no, you're probably not the only one seeing improvements. But many are still waiting for the problems to be fixed. I'm still waiting for a fiber alternative around here though.
