Seriously, this is just ridiculous. Every. Single. Night. Abysmal speeds. Call. Complain. Tech comes out. Nothing. So far I've talked to 4 of my closest neighbors and even tested from their houses (in some instances twice). Same results. Yeah guys, it MUST be our cable splitters universally crapping out ~5:00pm every evening. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I absolutely loathe ATT, but if their service WORKS I will have to swallow my pride and sign up. Whats more annoying is that up until a few months ago it worked. Beautifully.

I'm not a fan of ATT either, but this is absolute crap. I got 10-15Mb/s earlier today with the same site.

hey guys, i'm having the same problem down in the new orleans area...i know these networks are pretty close (geographically) and I started experiencing this problem about a week and a half ago where at night things would bog down to a crawl but during the day my speeds were flying...same problem today. i can go run a speedtest to dallas or new orleans and go over 20Mbps down but I know at 11PM tonight the same test will result in 3-6Mbps down.

i'm really hoping cox is just fixing or upgrading some things in the area but i wanted to ask you all when these problems started appearing for you? was it all around the same time?

Last night speeds weren't bad at all. I was Speedtesting every few hours up until about 4am. But with that being said, I shouldn't have to change my browsing habits to fit into when everyone else is on so I can not be...just so I can receive the bandwidth that I pay for. I pay for this speed so I want this speed whenever I may choose to get up and jump online, whether that be at 3PM, 8PM, 12AM, 3AM, or 6AM.

Now to my knowledge there have been some upgrades to the New Orleans network for the last couple months so maybe something went wrong or maybe Cox is still upgrading something around the area but I'm still collecting data before I send a PM to anyone. Hopefully it gets better soon.

FWIW, I was told in IM that Baton Rouge recently got a lot of node splits, but my particular area is still waiting on pending construction that is in the design phase. I have seen perhaps some very minimal improvement, but pretty clearly, there remains a bottleneck close to home.

I am guessing its true, for the last 2 weeks, I am hitting a constant 20Mbps any time of the day

Speeds have been pretty bad in NO all day for me...very sluggish..hopefully they found a problem somewhere and its being addressed..thats all I can think of for sluggish speeds during non-peak hours. We'll see though.

Speeds are much better than earlier today but still not Premier speeds.

And then I get this...obvious mega Powerboost (don't really see too many of those lol) on the upload but the downstream takes a serious hit. The test to NO was right after the one to Dallas.
