SMC7004VWBR limiting speed to 3.5 Mbs

I recently upgraded my qwest service to 7 MBs, and when i plus a cable directly into my DSL modem i get a bandwidth of > 6 Mbs (measured by qwests's speed test)

However, over wireless I only measure 3.5 Mbs on the same site. Before my upgrade i was getting the same speed on both the DSL modem and over wireless, so this is a cap of speed and not a % loss.

The router is 802.11b so it should be capable of 11 Mbs.

Any Thoughts?
