That's a very fair analysis...but doesn't ESPN have an automatic advantage in the bidding process knowing that they can just simply pass the costs on to the cable co's and ultimately us? It would seem the national networks don't have that advantage.
But everyone is missing one important part of the equation. the PLAYERS/MANAGERS/OWNERS/etc....this is a big reason why it all costs so much.
