Funny how you feel more comcastic when your saving $50/month by having Qwest take care of your PH/TV/DSL.
Just curious to see if anyone still is using the Cisco 678, on a DMT line ( nice to see Qwest finally got the hint on CAP) and has the 7Mbps/896Kbps line. I currently have the m1000 and 3Mbps/640Kbps can't wait until I get my upgrade on the 18th. Wanted to use my Cisco 678 and return the m1000 back to best buy. The 678 does have the 2.4.8 CBOS.
Just did a speed test 2607kbps/531kbps @ 10,533 ft loop directly connected to CO.
Any thoughts? |

| They "finally" got the hint on CAP years ago. There are still some CAP customers, but from Qwest's perspective they'd rather the remaining CAP holdovers switched to DMT.
I imagine at some point they'll be switched whether they like it or not- the CAP dslams are old, and manufacturer discontinued years ago. At some point they'll run out of spare parts. |
