I changed clients and changed providers, giganews to thundernews and it didn't change. It was that point where I got suspicious. And no it wasn't my connection or firewall. As soon as I changed the port (from the standard NEWS port) to port 80, it shot up to 9500Kbit sec in an instant. So they are throttling...
My guess is that they throttle news and torrents after you transfer a certain amount. |
