They have sold off a number of areas in the last couple of years. There was a bright-something company that they sold a few areas to earlier this year.
reply to fAcEtIOUs They mostly pick places where they don't have to compete with anything but satellite. That started to change in my area when Verizon released FiOS service in Denton, TX and AT&T released it's U-Verse product in Ft. Worth.
