I'd be surprised to see them file bankruptcy

It's been rumored for 10 years now and never happened and if anything times are better than ever for cable companies in general and charters revenue and customer growth this year is no exception. If anything, the trend away from landlines and dsl will only continue in the coming year..further strengthening their position.

Ok, ok. Sidestepping the fact that (a) this cableco is more than $20 Billion in debt, and (b) its interest costs are more than double its operating income
what part of "corporation suckage" are you having the most trouble with - The noun or the verb?

Also, if you could spare a moment, how is it again (play it again, Sam) that a handful of cable companies - minus a few fingers - controlling everything is good? I'm still a bit fuzzy on that bucket of gobshyte.

Lets see... the past 10 years (except probably just after 911) has been decent on the economy as a whole.
The past year (and forecast to the end of next year), will be pretty bad.

Almost all companies are taking a hit. Those that are (or were already) deep in debt will most likely file.
I don't see much 'growth' in TV or Phone service, and many that are keeping their service, will likely scale back (i.e. why do I need a 20Mbps Internet package? I can save +$15/month by using a 6Mbps or less).
Cut phone service and go wireless.
TV - OTA should work, or cut back to a lower tier.

I gave TWC their chance - the $89.99/month isn't bad - however, I've had more outages (at least on significant/month) on cable, interrupting Internet, and in some cases, Phone and TV as well.

Next year - when the rate increases hit - its OTA all the way, cellular + Skype for phone, and a toss between DSL or cable for Internet (DSL is more reliable here).

It better be REALLY good because the company's financial statements certainly don't look good.
