DSL highly unstable since Saturday

OK, so this all starts Saturday morning when several pole-mounted power transformers in the area explode and take out power for 6 thousand people including myself for a (relatively) brief 4 hours. When power comes back, I'm now noticing my connection is really sketchy, with the "Internet" light flickering out every half hour or so. The DSL light stays solid, however.

During the power outage, I connected a car battery/inverter system to the modem to see if the remote DSLAM still had power. It didn't. When the power came back, so did the connection, obviously. But now it's been dropping me more times in 12 hours than all of the times in the past 3 years I've had service combined. Each time a simple modem reboot will get me back online but this is really getting to me now.

DSL stats have been completely normal, only 2 near-end CRC errors (which I always get after a modem reboot, it never affects anything) and no other errors whatsoever. SNR is 31/9 and attenuation is 31/17. Attenuation normally sits at 30/7 but even at that range it doesn't normally force deviation from rated speeds or affect stability or consistency.

I'm going to call Qwest tomorrow afternoon and get a tech sent out to dig through the snow and check their equipment, but before I do I want to know what could possibly have caused this. I'm sure it's either the DSLAM or one of their servers that's suffering, but even then this is highly unusual.

Ideas?

EDIT: Now the connection is dropping every few minutes. When it DOES work, I'm stuck with anywhere from 2KBps to 20KBps. I'm seriously sick of this now.

2nd EDIT: Connection is stable and back to rated speeds once again... I suppose they were aware of the problem already and have corrected it. Good that I won't have to call, after all.

This can be deleted since there's no longer a problem.
