| any company that buys them out would likely be just as bad I have charter in Northern MN and I love their internet... solid 10meg down no matter what time of the day.
Their HD offerings however suck and when their encoder goes down on a Friday it's not fixed until Monday afternoon (leaving me with 60% fewer HD channels.)
I have all of the premium channels... if I had DirecTV I would get 5 HD channels for Showtime, 2 For HBO, 2 for Cinemax, 4 for Starz, and 2 for TMC (15 HD channels) and with charter I have only 5... one HD channel per premium network. That's horrible in my opinion.
Also, they charge $20 for a DVR... if you want 3 DVR's you pay $60 a month as they give absolutely NO DISCOUNTS. How they are in debt when they charge that much for DVR's is beyond me. |
1 edit | I just want to voice my opinion about Charter. I have been a dissatisfied customer for 5 years now in Arkansas. Charter is the only option around. In the 5 years of bs, I have been told every month that cable internet is coming which has never came. Also, on the video side, I was so happy to buy my first Big Screen Hd 1080i tv, one call to Charter ruined that. Charter in my area only offers there so called "Digital Cable" Which does not include HD. I also can't get a dvr. The really funny thing about the situation, is that I can hook a set of hd rabbit ears to my nice big hd tv, and get a better pitcher than what comes off my cable box. HA WHAT A JOKE! Then, as if all this was not enough for me to stand, I get a nice letter from charter a month ago, that stated I will have a rate increase of 11.00/month more. The service I have costs 81.00 its now 92.00 and for what? They raise my rates, with no apparant intentions of doing anything good for the extra money I will be giving them. WOW! Mr. CEO of Charter you are a true a$$hole.
Anybody with Charter in Arkansas, I feel your pain. Comcast please hurry up and buy them out! |
