Not Available

The U-Verse web site tells me it's not available for me, even though I have a VRAD right around the corner from my house. Thought maybe it might be because I don't have an AT&T landline, so checked a few neighbors too...not available for them either. Wonder what parts of Raleigh have U-Verse available?

That's crazy! I live just outside the Raleigh City limits in Knightdale (off New Bern Ave\64 Business) We probably won't see Uverse for a while

Stuck with AT&T, CableOne, and a really expensive WISP in my area.

Yeah. "Available" means to a few streets in Raleigh and one to two select up scale housing divisions. Outlying areas will see it in three to six years.

I'm in N Raleigh not too far from Triangle Town Center. I've had an install scheduled on the 20th since sometime late last month.

I'm in N Raleigh not too far from TTC also, but the web site tells me that U-Verse is not available to me.

I just had U-Verse installed today in 27613 (Hilburn Rd/Lynn Rd area), and I didn't have a landline. I just happened to check last week, and I was very happy to see it available. I've been holding out on video service ever since VOOM turned out the lights.

How's the service? What did you get and what's the monthly total come out to?

Sorry... I'm quite curious, and very interested in U-verse however I've never been a fan of switching services. I'd hope that I could be able to keep my same phone number if I switched to their voice service from digital phone. From what I looked though however, U-verse voice isn't available here. I checked off the TV and internet services I was interested in and came up with a total of $114 before taxes/fees, and I'm guessing those would be in the $20 range... still not bad. I'm paying about $188 a month for my TWC triple play.

If U-verse voice isn't available, what other options are there? The last time I had a landline with them it was about $48 a month and that did not include long distance, however that was 3-4 years ago.

Service is working... but I haven't had it long enough to quantify it beyond that. I will post a review after I can give a sufficient workout.

U200+HD+1 extra room for TV ($74) and 10Mbps Max Internet ($55) = $129 base before the inevitable taxes and fees (don't know these yet).

U-verse voice isn't available here, yet. I use pay-as-you-go VoIP for phone service, and I'm going to cut that over this weekend. I have to figure out how I want to do that with the AT&T-provided gateway device/router in the middle.
